CAN I LOSE MY SALVATION?
I know that there are many different beliefs about eternal salvation but what does the bible itself say about this subject? Some want to believe that their salvation is a free gift that you have to do good works to keep...Huh? If someone gives you a birthday present, say a new microwave for instance, do you have to mow their lawn and wash their car forever to pay for it? Why would you have to pay for a GIFT? This is what the bible says about that:
Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Is salvation a gift that was freely given to you by the grace of God. If it is a GIFT then YOU didn't earn it so it is not something that God owes you.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
I would direct you to what Paul told the Romans about the gifts of God....
Romans 11:27-29 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
You see? The GIFTS of God are without repentance. That means that He does not take them back. The bible says you can't lose your salvation because it is a gift from God. Amen.
Paul told Timothy the following about his salvation:
2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will PRESERVE ME UNTO HIS HEAVENLY KINGDOM: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
And even Jude resounds:
Jude 24-2524 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Also Consider the Following:
John 10:28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
It would take me all month to write all of the scriptures that teach us that our salvation is sure and assured through the work of Jesus Christ ALONE. It would be easier to just direct you to the bible yourself. If Jesus can hold all of creation together, is it such a big deal that he can preserve you until the end?
One Question..... Did Judas Iscariot Go To Heaven....? He Knew Jesus Pretty Well.. Didn't He?... Yet His Actions Caused Him To Miss Heaven... So How is It That We are Totally Assured of Eternal Salvation With Christ if We Don't Apply Our Faith and Actions Toward, at Least, Trying to Show That We follow Him... Ya' Know... Even The Devil Himself Knows That Jesus Christ is The Son of God... If You've Accepted Jesus as Your Lord and Savior.. And They Were Going To Convict You For Being a "Christian"? Would There Be Enough Evidence that would Show You to be One?... Think About It...You are Allowed to Go To Heaven If You've Accepted Jesus as Lord... But Your "Sin" Cannot Go with You.... If You are a New Creation in Christ.. Then Be a New Creation... That

We are all born in sin and are ALREADY condemned and in need of a savior. This is the condition we are all in until we ACCEPT Jesus into our hearts. Judas Iscariot was a perfect representation of the type of person that is spoken of in Hebrews 6. He was WITH Jesus and the believers. He experienced EVERYTHING that they did in regard to the works of the Holy Ghost.

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and THINGS THAT ACCOMPANY SALVATION, though we thus speak.
Judas Iscariot tasted heavenly things and was numbered among the apostles but clearly never repented of his old life. Much as the people spoken of in Hebrews 6. The list of identifiers for these people NEVER states that they had repented and were BORN AGAIN. As a matter of fact, the writer of Hebrews said that there are things that accompany salvation and inferred that these people did not possess them. So what was the difference between Judas Iscariot and the other apostles? The difference was he had ANOTHER GOD that was more important to him than Jesus; money.
JOHN 12:6 This he said (Judas Iscariot), not that he cared for the poor; but because HE WAS A THIEF, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
Before a person gives his life to Jesus, HE IS ALREADY condemned to Hell for eternity. Judas Iscariot obviously never TRULY repented from serving money. His work of betraying the Lord for thirty pieces of silver proved where his heart was. As Jesus said:
MATTHEW 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Let's keep in mind that Peter also denied the Lord Jesus but repented in the end and became one of the first to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost.
Both Peter and Judas Iscariot were desperately sorrowful for having betrayed Jesus but one sorrow was unto repentance and leading to eternal life and the other was unto condemnation and death.
Without repentance there is no remission of sins.
