JESUS RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST?

There is a great delusion being taught today that says that Jesus had no power until He was baptized by John in the Jordan River and, they say, received the Holy Ghost. This delusion, in my opinion, is birthed by a false belief that God is a GROUP of PEOPLE who share the same essence. But this is NOT what the Bible teaches about Him. Over and over from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible states that GOD IS ONE. If Jesus is God in the flesh (1 TIMOTHY 3:16) as the Bible clearly denotes Him to be over and over, How could He NOT have power? Especially since He is the creator of all things (JOHN 1:3). Was Jesus just an ordinary man like us who BECAME GOD or was He the Lord from Heaven as Paul clearly teaches in Corinthians? Did Jesus BECOME GOD at His baptism? Are the Mormons correct in that anyone can BECOME GOD? Or was Jesus just ENDOWED with the Christ Spirit at that point as the Gnostics believe? Are we little gods like Kenneth Copeland and others teach? God forbid.
As Christians, we accept the fact that Jesus is God IN THE FLESH. If that is true are these false teachers trying to say that God had NO POWER until He received the Holy Ghost? How ridiculous. A belief in the Trinity doctrine that says that there is a GROUP of DIFFERENT persons in the Godhead who share the same ESSENCE (same definition the Pagans used for their deity) will easily afford this delusion to flourish because it teaches that Jesus is LESSER in power than the Father. It teaches that He is NOT the Holy Spirit though He clearly claims to be in JOHN 14, REVELATION 1:8 and Paul says straight out that the Lord IS THAT SPIRIT (2 CORINTHIANS 3:17).
If we take the Bible at surface value and test everything like the Bereans did with scripture alone, we will have to accept that God is ONE LORD. If we believe that God is one as DEUTERONOMY 6:4 clearly states, and Jesus is God as Thomas clearly believed, (JOHN 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God,) and God is a SPIRIT as Jesus clearly said in (JOHN 4:24), then Jesus is, was and always will be GOD as He testifies of Himself in (REVELATION 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY.) He testifies of Himself that He is the 'I AM' that spoke with Moses in JOHN 8:58. And as it says in (HEBREWS 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.)
I think that clearly settles the fact that Jesus has always been, is and always will be God. With that behind us, did Jesus NOT have the Holy Ghost before He was baptized in the Jordan river by John? Well if the Lord IS THAT SPIRIT as we discussed earlier from Paul's teaching, how could He not HAVE THE SPIRIT? If we are to believe scripture the way it is written, then GOD is only one person. Nowhere does scripture explicitly teach that God is a GROUP of DIFFERENT people with the same ESSENCE. That is a Pagan doctrine, not one that the apostles taught. The passage that is used to support the position that Jesus received power when He was baptized by John in the Jordan River is JOHN 1 where the Spirit came down and rested on Jesus like a dove. If we read the whole context about this event we come to JOHN 1:32 that says;
And John bare record, saying, I SAW THE SPIRIT descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, UPON WHOM THOU SHALT SEE the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 AND I SAW AND BARE RECORD that this is the Son of God.
Clearly then, this is the witness of John the Baptist who was waiting for this sign to appear TO HIM. He testifies that HE SAW the Spirit descend like a dove and rest on Jesus. This was a VISION experienced by John the Baptist of which he testifies clearly in scripture. In no way does the context describe this event as a definition of who God is or that Jesus received the Holy Ghost that day with power, inferring that He had no power before that.
It is clear in scripture that Jesus is the IMAGE of God in the flesh. If I look in the mirror, I will see my own IMAGE which is an EXACT representation of me. It is NOT another person. It is my own IMAGE. That is who Jesus is; the IMAGE of GOD in a FLESH body.
I warn everyone who is reading this to check out EVERYTHING you are hearing with the TRUE Word of God, the RECEIVED TEXT, and ask Jesus to lead you into ALL truth by His Holy Spirit of Truth that resides in your inner man.
