DOES JESUS REALLY NOT KNOW WHEN HE WILL RETURN?

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
MATTHEW 24:36
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, NEITHER THE SON*, but the Father.
MARK 13:32

Written By; Bruce Shaulis

     Most people take these two verses to mean that Jesus does not know the day or the hour that He HIMSELF will return to earth. But is that REALLY what He meant when He spoke these words? Considering the context of the WHOLE Bible, this creates quite the contradiction if that interpretation is valid. How could Jesus know EVERY detail of the future as He taught His disciples EXCEPT for this ONE detail about when HE HIMSELF would return? How could He know the THOUGHTS of everyone around Him but NOT know the day of His OWN return? How could He know SO MUCH about scripture and theology when He was ONLY 12 years old to be teaching the religious rulers in the temple but NOT know this ONE THING?

* huios: a son
Original Word: υἱός, οῦ, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: huios
Phonetic Spelling: (hwee-os')
Short Definition: a son, DESCENDANT
Definition: a son, DESCENDANT.
5207 hyiós – properly, a son (by birth or adoption); (figuratively) anyone sharing the same nature as their Father. For the believer, becoming a son of God begins with being reborn (adopted) by the heavenly Father – through Christ (the work of the eternal Son). In the NT, 5207 /hyiós ("son") equally REFERS TO FEMALE believers (Gal 3:28).
The word ‘SON’ only shows up in ONE of these verses in MARK which was translated from the GREEK word, ‘HUIOS’. This word CAN mean just a single person who is a SON OR it can mean DESCENDANTS. Context is necessary to understand which definition is to be applied.
I believe that the context DEMANDS that MARK 13:32 be understood as;
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, NEITHER THEIR SONS*, but the Father.
Otherwise, why didn't Jesus say it like this?
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, NEITHER I MYSELF, but the Father.
DID THE APOSTLE PAUL BELIEVE THAT THERE WERE SOME THINGS THAT EVEN JESUS DID NOT KNOW?
In whom are hid ALL THE TREASURES of wisdom and KNOWLEDGE.
COLOSSIANS 2:3
Paul CLEARLY believed that Jesus was the source of ALL KNOWLEDGE. Does that mean all knowledge EXCEPT the knowledge of the day He will return?
WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER DISCIPLES?
Now are we sure that THOU KNOWEST ALL THINGS, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
JOHN 16:30
Clearly; JOHN records that the disciples of Jesus believed that Jesus knew ALL THINGS.
CONSIDER THESE VERSES:
But there are some of you that believe not. For JESUS KNEW from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
JOHN 6:64
And JESUS KNEW their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
MATTHEW 12:25
But HE KNEW their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
LUKE 6:8
But he, KNOWING THEIR THOUGHTS, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
LUKE 11:17

IN CONCLUSION
Clearly if you INTERPRET MARK 13:32 in light of the TRINITY DOCTRINE, you will be FORCED to interpret this verse so that JESUS is DEMOTED to LESSER than the Father. This brings up a whole host of OTHER conflicts concerning the MAJESTY of JESUS HIMSELF and His own declaration about being BEFORE ALL THINGS. Your understanding will be construed to mean that Jesus is somehow LESSER IN STATURE and KNOWLEDGE, SEPARATE from the FATHER and submissive to His will which is somehow DIFFERENT than His own. This is the very theology of Gnosticism and Jewish Mysticism which makes Jesus a DEMIURGE. But, if you choose to be HONEST and seek the TRUTH by applying the WHOLE CONTEXT of the REST of scripture, you will have to conclude that there is NOTHING that JESUS doesn’t know and therefore must BELIEVE HIM when He says,
“I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.” JOHN 10:30
